# Ways to Participate

Meteon Run is designed so that players can engage with the game in the way that best fits their time, interest, and play style. Beyond simply running, there are several ways to take part in the Meteorn Run experience.

**Play**\
At its core, Meteorn Run is a running game. Equip your shoes, head out, and enjoy the run. Playing is the primary way to experience the game and earn $GMTO within the ecosystem — no purchase is required to get started, thanks to free trial gear.

**Collect & Trade NFT Shoes**\
NFT shoes are the central in-game asset, each with its own rarity, durability, and design. Players can collect shoes that suit their style and buy or sell them on the Meteon Garage marketplace using $MTO. Because ownership is on-chain, you always retain full, verifiable control of the shoes you own.

**Stake & Participate with $MTO**\
Holders of $MTO can take part in the wider ecosystem by staking their tokens to receive $GMTO, and by participating in governance — helping shape the future direction of Meteorn Run. Staking and governance are open to anyone holding $MTO.

**Share with Friends**\
Players can invite friends through their personal invitation link. Growing the community together is part of the Meteorn Run experience, and both sides can receive in-game gifts when friends join.

Every player can mix and match these activities freely — whether you simply want to run, focus on collecting shoes, take part in staking and governance, or grow the community.
